Lanzarote the Poem!

We’ve seen a tiny Yellow butterfly
Sung in the loos, a lullaby
We walked the coast of golden sands
Posed for pics with jazz hands
Animal and bird hunting, we beg your pardon
In the lava caves and the cactus garden
The Four Wise Monkeys our merry band
Walked the beaches of black sand.
Maria’s laugh is heard across the Isle,
At her own version of ‘Country File’.
The birds, the feathered sort
Fly at Maria just for sport.
Then outside the balcony what luck!
A pair of kestrels have a fuck.
Julie wrapped her legs round a man.
When we sailed Catlanza catamaran
To clarify she was all at sea
Riding pillion on a jet ski
Sue lost some things, then caused a stir
When in Yaiza we lost her!
Debbie jived in the bar
Marie danced without her bra
One boob went up and down
The other went round and around.
We were laughing to the max
While the musician played the Sax
We climbed Volcán Rojo for the view
And visited Volcán El Cuervo too.
Swimming at Flamigo Beach
Fish swimming within our reach
Sue sleeps on the sand, her eyelid flickers
Maria’s got sand in her nickers
The chefs that sing at dinner
And the wonderful food was a winner
Julie collecting shells and glass
While Marie photographs her arse.
By far the loveliest thing for me,
Was when we all saw white horses in the sea.
Finally as we part, I wish you all the best of luck
My advice to you.. please don’t tread on a duck
