During the afternoon we had booked a tour of the Hobbiton Movie Set and I would say it was one of the best tours of this type I’ve been on. I’m not going to say too much as I don’t want to spoil it, if you are going to visit sometime.
Think its fair to say, Lee was delighted with it and while he was busy filming and mentally oohing and aahing over the hobbit holes, I was transfixed by the butterflies!Common Blue (Zizina otis labradus Godart). Then this, reportable sight! A New Zealand Monarch (Danaus plexippus).
Lee thought me quite mad!Anyway just to prove there is a Hobbiton a few photos and we had a beer at The Green Dragon.
