Finally made it home, although I did hand wash my clothes, they seem to be full of sand. In fact they took themselves off to the washing machine!
Anyway that’s not why I’m writing, you don’t not need to hear about my dirty laundry.
I took some sweet footage of Spanish Sparrow’s having a dust bath. This was on the sea front at Playa Blanca.
Additional birds we saw were, little egrets, Berthelot’s Pipit, almost a murmuration of starlings came and went outside the hotel. We also saw some unidentified martin’s on the coast and numerous finches that we couldn’t identify. One of the kestrels that enhabited the tree outside out room, apart from mating also had a breakfast of collard dove right above the unknowing human diners below.
Below is a potter wasp, about 2 inches long. Both pictures courtesy of Maria.

My thanks to Maria, Sue and Julie for a brilliant time and being so knowledgeable and for making me laugh, sing and dance.
Anyway that’s it for now, 2019 is around the corner and more travels.
